Leon is the David H. Burrows Professor, teaching courses including Civil Engineering Materials, Theory of Structures, and Reinforced Concrete Structures. His research areas focus on the behavior and design of steel and composite connections, seismic design of braced steel frames and frames with partially restrained connections, seismic performance of bridges, service of composite floors and high-performance materials.
